1.
Words on your lips and your fingertips Are touching mine Words from your mouth get me so strung out On you I found you somehow I'll hold on to you for now Because you changed everything Promise you now somehow I'll hold you forever Words from my lips That's all it is Let's keep it simple Everything was upside down Everything was inside out Everything was black and white Now my heart's been pulverized No history There's nothing between you and me Even if there's no history, it all feels the same to me
2.
Dear Angelina, The flowers aren't blooming today Since you've been gone it's all been so wrong But your memory won't seem to fade Dear Angelina, The roses have all died away They left with you and turned me to blue And there's nothing much more I can say It seems my love is gone and I'm sitting alone at the table The bottle of wine we drank the last time It's all gone but me and the label Everybody cries sometimes Lord knows this is mine My plans, I've been breaking them My words, I'm just faking them Tell everyone I'm just fine Everybody lies sometimes Lord knows I've done my time My plans, I'm just breaking them My words, I'm still faking them Tell everyone I'm just fine.

Riding these tracks all the way back Each day means nothing to me Connect the dots on the map Leave the past behind Travel out on that line Put it in a box somewhere And I'll find it in time I've been drifting Waiting for the sun to go down Looking for the train that comes around Feeling half-empty in the crowded part of town Waiting for the train to come around When I'm gone will you be alone? Will someone keep you warm this spring? I guess I'll never know.
4.
Last night's laughs & forgotten glances Seems strange to me now I was taking chances Party-time wishes & well-intentioned french kisses Made me want to stay sober for a while In a world of good intentions All my intuitions fail me now In this roomful of distractions Trying for some action But I'll take my bow Five o'clock in the morning but my clock says noon It hasn't worked since half past last June The table's a mess and the curtain's full of holes That's how I saw through you late last night In a world of good intentions All my intuitions fail me now In this roomful of distractions Trying for some action But I'll take my bow You & him were walking around but that's not why I'm down See you later when the carnival's back in town With your three-ring charms and your ghost-clock alarms Keeping me up at all hours of the night In a world of good intentions All my intuitions fail me now In this roomful of distractions Trying for some action But I'll take my bow

about

John Housley EP

We lost John in March of 2017. He was our friend. He was our bandmate. He was the very heart of the band. You can hear his unique voice in these songs, as sad and wise and funny and clever as life itself. We loved him and we will never again know his like. Today the sky has no curve to it, and no end. Never. Never. Never. Never. Never.

This album is pay what you want. Any proceeds collected by the band will be donated to the Lymphoma Research Foundation: www.lymphoma.org.
